More Info
We are pleased to announce the publication of the 9th edition of MULTIPLE-CHOICE AND FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP ENGLISH LITERATURE AND COMPOSITION EXAMINATION.
The 9th Edition of the AP English Literature book has been revamped to reflect the latest College Board changes to the Literature examination. Though it retains individual sections on Prepping for Poetry, Prepping for Prose and Prepping for Literature that are designed to offer students a primer for each discrete task that appears on the AP English Literature and Composition Examination, its content is 100% new, with passages drawn from writers as diverse as Browning, Atwood, Kesey, Hurston, McEwan, Trollope and Ferlinghetti. As has been our practice, each passage and question set is followed by a general explication of the passage as well as the rationale behind each individual answer. Free-response questions are accompanied by explications and sample student responses that have been assessed using the guidelines provided by the College Boardfs new, six point analytical rubric. Our selection of poetry and prose passages, which reflects a broad diversity of gender, era and culture, has been designed to hone studentsf ability to analyze content, theme, structure and style on the highest possible level, preparing them not only for the exam but for the undergraduate English classes they may later encounter. The 330 multiple-choice questions and the accompanying 18 essay prompts may be used either to prepare students for the timed examination in May or as individual lessons that complement many of the reading selections of a typical AP syllabus.
Each class order is accompanied by a FREE Teacher's Manual, which contains the six student exams as well as thorough explications of all the passages and their accompanying questions. For the instructorfs convenience a separate Answer Key for the multiple-choice questions is included with each question book. Though the greatest factor in student success on the AP English examinations is good teaching, test familiarity and practice should not be ignored or underrated.
Prepare your students for the AP English Literature Examination by ordering the books that provide the most comprehensive question selection and the most diverse and engaging literary selections. Increase their comfort|and your satisfaction|by ordering today.
