MULTIPLE-CHOICE & FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP ENGLISH LITERATURE AND COMPOSITION EXAMINATION - 8TH ED.

English Literature
We are pleased to announce the publication of the 8th edition of MULTIPLE-CHOICE AND FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP ENGLISH LITERATURE AND COMPOSITION EXAMINATION. The 8th Edition of the AP English Literature book has been revamped to include individual chapters on Prepping for Poetry, Prepping for Prose and Prepping for Literature, designed to offer students a primer for each discrete task that appears on the AP English Literature Examination. These chapters, whose readings and prompts gradually increase in difficulty, are designed to meet the AP student on the most individually appropriate challenge level. As has been our practice, each passage and question set is followed by a general explication of the passage and an explanation of each individual answer. Free-response questions are accompanied by explications, rubrics and sample student responses that have been assessed by the author and editor, two long-time veterans of the AP classroom and the AP reading. The nearly one-hundred twenty practice questions and accompanying essay prompts are followed by four completely new sample examinations (with an additional two hundred-plus questions) that may be used either to help prepare students for the timed examination in May or as individual lessons that complement your AP syllabus. Our selection of poetry and prose passages, which reflects a broad diversity of gender, era and culture, is designed to hone student ability to analyze content, theme, structure and style on the highest possible level, preparing them not only for the exam but for the English classes they may later encounter. Among the over forty authors represented in this new edition are Wilbur, Olds, Heaney, Morrison, Auden, Shakespeare and Dreiser. Each class order is accompanied by a FREE Teacher's Manual, which contains all the sample questions, as well as thorough explanations for both passages and questions. Separate student Answer Keys for the multiple-choice sections are included with each question book. Though the greatest factor in student success on the AP English examinations is good teaching, test familiarity and practice should not be ignored or underrated. Prepare your students for the AP English Literature Examination by ordering the books that provide the most comprehensive question selection (over 300!) and the most diverse and engaging passages. Increase their comfort - and your satisfaction - by ordering today.

"Excellent selections! Great teacher information and explanations for answers. Very helpful in preparing for the AP exam."
Karen Defoe / San Juan High School, Citrus Heights, CA

"I love the explications offered for the multiple-choice questions as well as the ratings for the essays. Great tool for exam preparation."
