2nd edition consists of two parts: the first half of the book prepares
students for the multiplechoice & free-response questions of the AP
MICROECONOMICS EXAMINATION. It consists of 5 units with over 100 new multiple-choice
questions and 3 free-response questions. The 5 units for the Microeconomics
section of the book are: Scarcity and Opportunity Cost; The Price Discovery
Mechanism; Cost of Production and Theory of the Firm; Factor Markets;
and, Public Finance.

second half of the book prepares students for the multiple-choice &
free-response sections of the AP MACROECONOMICS EXAMINATION. It also consists
of 5 units with over 90 new multiple-choice questions and 15 free-response
questions as well as 2 new sample exams, each with 60 multiple-choice
questions and 3 free-response questions. The 5 units for the Macroeconomics
section of the book are: Basic Concepts and Macroeconomic Indicators;
Aggregate Supply/Demand Model, and Aggregate Expenditure Model; Business
Cycles and Fiscal Policy; Money, Banking, and Monetary Policy; and International
Economics.
With each class order,
you will receive a FREE Teacher’s Manual which contains explanations
for all multiple-choice questions and rubrics for the free-response questions
in the book while separate student Answer Keys (containing the correct
choice to the multiple-choice questions) are included with each question
book.
The author of the
book is James Chasey, an AP Economics teacher at Homewood-Flossmoor High
School in Flossmoor, Illinois. He has been an AP Economics reader since
1995. James Chasey is an AP consultant for the College Board in the Midwest,
conducting many one-day workshops for AP teachers.
