World History
We are pleased to announce the publication of a NEW book entitled MULTIPLE-CHOICE AND FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS WITH DBQ IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP WORLD HISTORY EXAMINATION.
The book consists of three parts:
Part I outlines the content themes, habits of mind, and essay rubrics that define the AP World History curriculum.
Part II has narrative-based units on each of the five historical eras: Foundations to 600 C.E., 600-1450 C.E., 1450-1750 C.E., 1750-1914 C.E., and 1914 to the Present. Each unit is followed by 35 multiple-choice questions and one period-based essay.
Part III consists of THREE full sample examinations, each with 70 multiple-choice questions, a DBQ, a change over time essay, and a comparative essay.
Each class order is accompanied by a FREE Teacher’s Manual that contains explanations for all multiple-choice questions, and scoring guidelines for all free-response questions in the book. Student Answer Keys for the multiple-choice questions are separately packaged.
The author of the book is Ethel Wood, an AP World History teacher at Princeton High School in Princeton, N.J., who has taught the course since its inception in 2001. She has been a long-time reader and table leader for the College Board, and she served on the National Committee that worked to launch the new AP World History curriculum during the 2001-2002 school year.
You no doubt have high standards when it comes to choosing the best AP World History book for your students. The questions in our book are as difficult and demanding as your students will find the actual examination. Your students will be thoroughly prepared for the examination. Why not give your students the edge?
