We are pleased to announce the publication of a NEW 5th edition of MULTIPLE-CHOICE & FREERESPONSE
QUESTIONS WITH DBQ IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP UNITED STATES HISTORY EXAMINATION.
The new 5th edition, co-authored by Tom Barnes and Gordon Utz, contains review material,
1,220 new multiple-choice questions, 4 DBQ’s, and 16 free-response questions. Section I consists of 18
chapters of review material (for time periods 1492-2002) with 50 multiple-choice questions in each chapter.
Section II consists of 4 complete sample AP exams—each sample exam consisting of 80 multiple-choice
questions, 1 DBQ, and 4 free-response questions, which simulate the actual examination. Student answer keys
for the multiple-choice questions are separately packaged. Each class order is accompanied by a FREE
Teacher’s Manual, which provides extensive explanations for all the questions in the book including rubrics and
sample essay thesis analysis.
