English Language
The new 6th edition of multiple-choice & FREE-RESPONSE QUESTIONS IN PREPARATION FOR THE AP ENGLISH LANGUAGE AND COMPOSITION EXAMINATION has been designed to prepare students for both the multiple-choice and essay sections of the AP English Language exam.
It is comprised of SIX sample exams, totaling over 300 challenging multiple-choice questions on all aspects of non-fiction writing, including footnotes and documentation. Each free-response section contains a new documents-based question that will help prepare students for the "synthesis" essay that is being introduced on the 2007 exam. The book features two, fully explicated sample exams (with sample student essays and rubrics), as well as four additional exams. These may be used as complete tests or as individual classroom lessons on the teaching of prose. Among the over thirty authors represented in the 6th edition are Orwell, Swift, Wharton, Selzer, Ackerman, Stegner and E.B. White.
Each class order is accompanied by a FREE Teacher's Manual, which contains all the sample questions as well as explanations for both passages and questions. Separate student Answer Keys for the multiple-choice sections are included with each question book. Though the greatest factor in student success on the AP English examinations is good teaching, test familiarity and practice should not be underrated. Prepare your students for the AP English examinations by ordering the books that provide the largest question selection (over 300!) and the most diverse and engaging passages. Increase their comfort and assure your satisfaction by ordering today.
