The new 4th edition MULTIPLE-CHOICE
& FREE-RESPONSE QUESTION'S IN PREPRATION FOR THE AP BIOLOGY EXAMINATION
contains 520 multiple-choice questions and 20 free-response questions
reflecting the most current syllabus in AP Biology. The book consists
of three parts: The first part of the student book contains the "Survival
Guide" with suggestions for organizing study and review throughout
the year. The second part consists of 8 themes represented by 90 multiple-choice
questions in each theme-a total of 160 multiple-choice questions and 8
theme-based free-response questions. These themes are particularly important
because they make meaningful connections between topics and concepts throughout
AP Biology. The third part of the book consists of 3 sample exams each
containing 120 multiple-choice questions and free-response questions totaling
360 multiple-choice questions and 12 tree-response questions. For each
set of questions, and is provided for your students to analyze their strengths
and weaknesses in each theme and topic area where a student may wish to
review in more depth. In addition, there are many questions throughout
the book that address the required laboratory activities.
Student Answer Keys for all multiple-choice
questions are separately packaged. Each class order is accompanied by a
FREE Teacher's Manual, which contains explanations to the correct choice
for all 520 multiple-choice questions and rubrics for the 20 tree-response
questions. The Teacher's Manual also contains "Concept Organizers",
key ideas organized in a one-page format designed for teachers to use instruction
or review.

Guide", and "Concept Organizers' are new to the 4th edition. Additional
multiple-choice questions have been added to each theme while many of them
are revised retaining the best of the 3rd edition.
The author of the book is Barbara
Bertheisen, an AP Biology teacher for 25 years at Troy Athens High School
(Troy, MI). She has been a reader for the AP Biology Examination for 14
years. For the past 10 years she has been an instructor for more than 15
summers AP Biology institutes in West Virginia. Missouri. Indiana and Michigan.
